- Heat Recovery Ventilation
- Combined Heat and Power (CHP)
- Solar Power via Photovoltaics (PV)
- Ground/Air/Water Source Heat Pumps
- Rainwater Collection and Harvesting
- Wind Turbines
The Practice also encourages passive techniques to both reduce heat loss and solar gain, and where possible to maximise the contribution of ventilation by natural means including passive stack principles. The Practice is also keen to promote waste minimisation and recycling where possible particularly with respect to water usage.
The philosophy of the Practice is to encourage a high standard of design, which commences with the necessary level of input at an early stage in the design process and develops through an interactive and iterative process as the design progresses. In addition to conventional steady state computer analysis the Practice is also able to undertake dynamic modelling and simulation via computer-based software.
Sustainable solutions often have operational or management implications and it therefore is considered essential that the client and end user are involved in these decision making processes.
Johns Slater and Haward are Accredited Consultants to the Government’s Carbon Trust Programme and are able to offer a range of funded and part-funded energy-related products and services through its sister company JSH Energy Solutions Ltd. JSH Energy Solutions Ltd.
