The main operational and administrative office in the Eastern Region is Friars Street, Ipswich. Adjacent to the main office building in Friars Street is their Greyfriars building in Franciscan Way.

The Greyfriars building is 3 storeys, with Car Parking floors above. The building is rectangular in shape, with the longest side facing North and South (with substantial un-shaded glazing).

The building has open plan office accommodations and a computer room at first floor level with Reception and mainly storage areas at ground floor.

The office fresh air handling plant and chillers are located at a mezzanine level, with cooling towers and condensing units on the tenth floor level roof. More condensing units are located at Car Park Level 3.

Zone Air Handling Units are located in a separate Plantroom at Level 3.

In September 2009 JSH conducted an inspection of the air conditioning system and produced a report detailing the condition of the plant. The report  also listed a series of observations and recommendations for the Client to consider in order to generate energy/carbon savings and reduce the running costs of the plant.
