Orsett Hall, Thurrock, Grays, Essex

The £1.5 million Project comprised of the reconstruction of Orsett Hall Hotel, which was formally a Georgian Grade Two Listed Building that had been converted to a Hotel, specialising in functions, such as wedding receptions. Unfortunately the original building had to be demolished following a serious fire in 2007. The reconstruction was a complete new build and although de-listed, the Planners dictated that the external appearance of the building should be generally in keeping to the appearance of the original listed building. Johns Slater & Haward's remit was to provide advice at the Feasibility Stage, to design and specify the Electrical and Mechanical works for the Project and to provide site monitoring for the scheme.
