Framfield House Medical Centre, Woodbridge


The Framfield House Medical Centre is a purpose built healthcare facility in Woodbridge, Suffolk.

New Mechanical and Electrical Services were provided to meet the requirements for each area of the building and included the following requirements:

Space Heating, Ventilation, Gas installation, Mains Cold Water Service, Hot Water Service, Mains Distribution and Switchgear, Sub-Mains and Distribution Boards, Lighting and Emergency Lighting, External Lighting, Power Installation, Fire Alarms, Provision for Telephones and Data, Television installation, Door Entry System, Panic Alarm Installation, Disabled Toilet Alarm and Induction Loop Installation.

The Electrical Services design solution included a digital patient management system and the Mechanical Services design included heat meters to enable the client to proportion the running costs associated with the space heating zones.

West Suffolk Hospital, Bury St Edmunds - Pharmacy Support

West Suffolk Hospital, Bury St Edmunds

The West Suffolk NHS Trust is based in Bury-St-Edmunds, Suffolk.

To meet the growing needs of the hospital, the refurbishment and centralisation of the Pharmacy was designed to meet the requirements of the latest HTM's.

Johns Slater and Haward were responsible for designing and overseeing the installation works and provided new Mechanical and Electrical Services to meet the requirements for each area.

The Mechanical Services design solution included a balanced air conditioning system to serve the Pharmacy Support department general areas. The new unit was supplied and installed within the Plant Room and there was also a remote Frost Coil located within the ductwork. All supply air was provided to the rooms through 4-way blowing louvered face diffusers and all extract air was removed through egg crate grilles.

Felixstowe Community Hospital

The new community hospital in Felixstowe was a redevelopment of the existing Felixstowe General Hospital.

Johns Slater and Haward were employed on the £1.8M project to create a modern facility in the heart of Felixstowe and to work with the Trusts in-house Design Team.

Johns Slater and Haward were responsible for designing the installation of the Electrical Services works which included the Electrical Distribution, Electrical Power, Lighting, Emergency Lighting, Fire Alarm and Detection Systems, Nurse Call Systems, Intercom Systems and Telephone Data/IT Systems.
